Well, this post is late but it is still Tuesday!
And as promised, I am going to share with
you our family Fudge Pie recipe. It is found
in our family cookbook, which I am betting
you don’t have a copy of! We are cool like
that – we do our own cookbooks and stuff...
So – start with an uncooked pie crust. Your own or
one from the store – if you want to make it easy!
Mix together in bowl
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of cocoa
1/4 cup flour
Melt 1 stick of butter in pan
Beat 2 eggs
Add butter, eggs and 1 tsp vanilla to the flour/cocoa/sugar mixture
Stirring till well mixed
Pour into crust -
Yeah Baby – pour that
chocolate goodness in there..
Now bake at 325 degrees for 30 – 40 minutes
(obviously my family isn’t into precision baking)
Don’t worry if it seems a little gooey when you
take it out – it sets up while it cools.
And it does have the texture of fudge so it is kind of soft and gooey.
Now you absolutely have to eat this warmed up with vanilla ice cream.
Hey – I don’t make the traditions, I just follow them!
I am telling you now – it will be a hit and all sorts
of compliments will be sent your way in
between gooey bites. But you just let everyone
know that you don’t need any praise, you
do it all out of love…..
But of course, if they would like to do the dishes…

I don't know why I have never made this for myself?!! And I don't eat it with ice cream – it cools it down too much! But I am strange like that, don't like ice cream with anything.

I'm with Melissa, no ice cream! But it is a very tasty pie =) You might have to make a couple for Christmas.
