Bye Bye 2009
Here it is – the last day of 2009. It feels strange to be looking ahead at 2010. I am not sure
what to call it. Some will probably call it 0-10. I however, am above that. I believe I will
refer to it as 20 -10. This is a very important decision – some say we will look back and
label this time period as the “tweens” until we get to 2013. Then of course it will be the
teens. I don’t fancy living through something called “the tweens” again. It seems as though
what came before and what comes after is more important than the current time. So I
won’t be calling it the tweens as I am sitting in a nursing home in my 90′s reminiscing.
Today I have been thinking back on my blog. It has been 5 months since I started it
and it has definitely taken on a life of its own. I believe I am beginning to find my
“sweet spot” with blogging, and where I fit in best. But who knows – maybe that will
all change as we enter the tweens
Anyway………. I am sitting here on the couch with my heated blanket and my dog,
thinking over some of the posts I have done since I started this blog.
Who could forget the infamous “self-portrait” frugalista posts? No really,
who could? I wish you could – but alas – they were unforgettable. But really -
at least I entertained! Where else could you go to see someone taking
pictures of themselves in the bathroom mirror?
I shared several Tasty Tuesday recipes with you.
And I owned up to my cooking mistakes – yet you still came back.
I brought you along with me as I decorated my house for the seasons -
I invited you in on some Frugal Friday craft sessions -
Frugal Friday – Elegant Table Decor
Frugal Friday – Thrifty Cloche
It has been a busy 5 months, and I have enjoyed blogging about it!
Thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings, and for putting
up with my poor photography. I am currently saving for a nicer
camera – hopefully that will improve my shots! At the very
least I will have a timer and a tri-pod to take self-portraits with!

You’ve done a great job with your “blogging” – the gals in my office love reading your posts. Keep it up in the new year. Wish I had more time to do so….
