Wednesday's Word – Pretty Princess Dress
No – you will not find self portraits of me in front
of a mirror wearing a pretty princess dress in this post.
Please try to contain your disappointment……….
Easter Sunday is my granddaughters birthday -
Go here to read a special post about her – Unique
What she wanted for her birthday was “sparkly dresses”
I found her a darling dress at TJMaxx
It is pretty and purple and even has some sequins on it.
But it just didn’t seem complete. Easter can be chilly here in the Northwest,
so I thought I would add a sweater to go with it.
Then I thought maybe some flowers on the sweater would be cute.
(being a grandma is similar in many ways to playing dress up)
I found these purple flowers and ribbon at Micheals. The flowers
have wire on the back – bonus! No sewing!
I poked the wires through the sweater, twisted them together
and then cut off the ends. Adorable!!
I decided I should make a matching headband too -
I hot glued some of the ribbon around a plain white headband.
Then I twisted two of the purple flowers onto it.
Coming together – but one more thing needed to make it complete -
Cause you know grandma loves bling!
So – here is the entire ensemble
And here is the birthday girl right after opening it!
She had to try it on right away – so I was able to get her to pose for a few shots!
Don’t we all just love to feel like a pretty princess in our clothes!?
Ok – I would settle for looking like a semi-chic middle aged peasant…
Anybody got a dress that can do that?
