Tasty Tuesday – Easy Apple Cake
Have you noticed that several of my recipes start with the same word?
Easy..
Does that bother anyone? I didn’t think so! I really enjoy cooking, but don’t often
have the time I would like to spend at it. So I love recipes that taste and look
like you spent a lot of time on them, but you really didn’t. Is that cheating?
Maybe, but I don’t care! Ok, now you know how heartless I am..lets get to the cake!
Here are the ingredients -
You just use a regular yellow cake mix and add cinnamon, vanilla, and apples.
The caramel sauce goes on afterwards!
Mix the cake according to package instructions. Mine required eggs, oil, and water.
Add 1 tablespoon cinnamon and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Now you need two medium apples, any kind will do.
Ok – you caught me. The main thing that draws me to this recipe is the excuse to use my
- are you ready for it – Pampered Chef Apple Peeler Corer Slicer!!
Now you dice up the apples and add them to the cake batter.
Pour batter into a bundt pan
Bake at 350 degree’s for 40 minutes.
Mmmmmmmmm! See! I told you it was easy!!
Let cool then remove from pan.
I drizzled it with caramel sauce –
And was able to force some down….
The apples make it super moist -you could lower the fat by substituting
applesauce for the oil in the mix and only using 2 eggs.
The caramel sauce I used is fat free –
I have to tell you I love this – my family seems to love it to. And it is easy
to throw together if you get sudden guests or want to take something
to a pot luck. The ingredients are ones we usually have on hand.
Hope you try it and like it! And thanks so much for visiting

Yum!! I don’t have that fab peeler/corer/slicer. I’ll bet it is life changing.
Shoot.
