Wednesday's Word – Random Questions

Welcome to Wednesday! I spent two day’s home sick this week so my day’s

are all messed up. But I am pretty sure this is Wednesday.. If it isn’t don’t tell me..

I have some scintillating questions for you at the end so be sure and stick around to answer!

I wanted to show you the finished product of my “Good and Perfect Gift” sign.

You may remember it like this -

Well, I got the little embellishment thingy (I am all over the tech terms)

from Say Anything Expressions and put it on. Now it looks perfect!

In fact it looks both good….. and perfect…. Did I hear a mercy chuckle? Didn’t think so…

So there it is – with a spot on each side of the sign for the two new

grandkids coming this fall! I was undecided which phrase to use for the sign,

this one or “The best things in life aren’t things” This is the one that was the

unanimous choice among my friends. I stopped in at the Dollar Tree

Store today and found these vinyl sayings there -

Ok – the one at the top isn’t a saying, it is a chalkboard. It says you can write

on it with chalk! I am not sure if it says the writing will ever come off though..

Anyway I thought it was funny that they had the other phrase I was thinking of using.

But then, I am easily amused….

So now I have some random questions for you – cause it’s a random sort of week

and I am all caught up on my laundry.

Question 1)

Has anyone ever actually gone into the Dollar Store and only bought one thing?

Cause around my house we call it the $25 store.. It seriously is such a great marketing

ploy – you just keep throwing things in the cart cause it’s only a dollar.

So really, I need to know. Do any of you just buy one or two things in there?

Question 2)

Do other people have strange dreams when they have a fever, or is it just me?

My fever dreams could be full-on Hollywood feature horror films.

Sunday night I had several in a row

- I kept waking up and then going back into another one.

One was about a serial killer who knifed girls in my dorm

(for the record, I have never lived in a dorm)

One was about genetic mutations done on kittens – those

were some wicked looking kittens,  let me tell you. And

yet somehow they resembled European models…

And then I had one about a freakish possessed baby.

After I woke up from that one I turned the light on and left it on all night.

But, in all honesty,

that last one could have been brought on by the

Easter Egg hunt I worked at on Saturday…..

So, does anyone else have that phenomenon when

they have a fever – or do I just need a medication adjustment?

Question 3)

Does this blog make my but look big?

Question 4)

Obviously question 3 was a joke. Unless the answer is yes and then you must let

me know immediately if not sooner. My real question is are the pictures on

my blog to big? Does anyone have to wait a long time for my site to load? I love

to have big pics, but will cut them down if they are making thing slow.

Question 5)

I have decided I need some cowboy boots. I believe it is entirely because of

the influence of The Pioneer Women. I already had to buy the same brand of

camera she has.. Anyway, I want a mid calf one without pointy toes. Does anyone

know of a brand or store that has something like that for under a 3 digit price?

And can a 50 year old woman get away with wearing those with a skirt and bare legs?

Question 6)

And you have made it to the last question – I am sure you are relieved!

Most of my posts are about cooking/recipes, crafts, or home decor.

Which of those are you most interested in, or are there other things you would

love to see me add? Cause you know I love it when you come and visit, and

you are all my BFF’s. Unless you came here by mistake by googling

The Little Brown Spouse – if that is the case this is not the blog for

you and you may leave now…… and that’s all I’m going to say about that..

I like it all. Variety is the spice of life!
I am no help on the boots, as I am a fashion disaster.
Ask Bimlissa . . . she is much more fashionable that I am.
The pictures are not too big as far as I am concerned.
I always buy at least 8 things at the dollar store.
    But never 25!
You must be loaded. :) hahaahaha
    And your dreams are freaky.

    3. Yes. I mean no!
    4. Pics aren’t too big and your blog always loads quickly for me.
    5. Go for the boots! I vote turquoise.
    6. What? You mean this isn’t Little Brown Spouse?!?!? Bummer.

You are so funny girl! I just love you! Glad you are feeling better too!
    Ok first things first:
1: I have never ever in my life walked into ANY store and bought one item! Especially the dollar tree!
2: Mercy girl at your dreams! First thing I thought was that old devil is trying to get at you! Ha! I dream rarely but when I do, it is the craziest stuff! On occassions I have had dreams that were so horrible and frightning that I actually woke myself up gasping for breath and trying to scream. I always feel that is when Satan is really trying to attack me for some reason…May sound strange…but that is how I feel personally.
3: From the pictures I have seen of you so far…WHAT BUTT?
4: I don’t think your pics are too big and your site loads just fine for me and quickly.
5: Don’t have any tips for you on the cowboy boots. But I am quite sure with your shape you can pull them off! (No matter your age)
6: I have enjoyed all your stuff you post on the blog. Seriously, I really have. You have given me such inspiration. And I will be honest with you….your pictures that you do of your food especially, just really stand out and pop. Makes me want to reach through that screen and take a bite. For some reason my little food project photography never turns out as well as the rest. But yours seem to just pop out at ya!

Glad you are feeling better. Be blessed and have a great day. Cindy

That is too funny that you are looking for boots. Bob just bought me a pair of cowboy boots off ebay. They are over $300. retail, hand-made, very soft real leather, mid-high, mahogany brown with pink flames. However, they have a very pointy toe – I just got them 1/2 size larger so my toes wouldn’t get munched. I think he paid about $40. for them and I plan to wear them with a skirt – maybe a denim skirt with leggings – and I am about to turn 57, so there you go!!! Let’s see, if I’m really broke & have cash in my pocket, I have been known to spend only $2-$3 at the dollar store – usually on multiple packs of suger-free gum. Love the embellished sign. No, your butt obviously isn’t too big, and neither are your photos. Glad you are feeling better – don’t share it with me!!

I have only bought 2 or 3 things, but not often.
My dreams are strange even when I don’t have a fever. I dream every night, which I guess is unusual, but then again I’m unusual. I think. Oh, to be normal.
Your butt is not big enough, you have to gain 20 lbs for us to be BFF, you know that I’ve told you before.
I actually have 4 pairs of cowbow boots, surprised? 2 brown, 1 red, 1 tuquoise. I love them with everything, jeans, skirts etc., although the turquoise are so high I only wear to dinner where I’ll be sitting a lot. Bought on clearance or TJ Max or both of course.
Love big pics and doesn’t take any time at all to load.

I have NEVER bought just one item at the Dollar Store. I don’t think it’s humanly possible :) (BTW I have all 3 of those vinyl wall “sayings” – love that they have those!). Girl, you have some crazy dreams! I have weird ones when I take allergy medication. I love the big pics and the site loaded just fine for me – of course this is my first time so what do I know :o ) I do know that I have enjoyed my visit today and I will be back!!

    1. I love the dollar store and I can never leave with just one item. It is my favorite place to get movie snacks to sneak into the theater. Shhh…don’t tell anyone.
    2. I do not have to have a fever to dream bizarro things. I always have vividly detailed and completely unusual dreams. One involved me giving birth to a baby out of my mouth, only it wasn’t a baby…it was a white tiger cub.
    3. No, never fear.
    4. Your blog always loads up quickly for me and no, your pictures are not too big.
    5. Go for it! I used to have a pair of pink boots when I was a little girl. I like the turquosie idea.
    6. I love all your post! Keep ‘em coming!!
