Dollar Store Christmas Tree…

Welcome to The Little Brown House!

Christmas is getting close – are you ready?

I just got my tree up this week. It is the latest I have been in years!

I decided to go with a different color scheme this year –

I choose silver, white, and blue.

That meant all new ornaments. And I am on a budget – as most of us are!

I have loved the dollar store for years, and this year was pleased to see

they have a vast selection of christmas items. And they have some really pretty things!

And guess what – it’s all a dollar!!

I reused some beads and poinsettias that I had from last year,

but the rest of the items I got from the Dollar Tree, except for a few Walmart additions.

I also mixed the dollar store items in with some glass things I already had to

decorate the rest of the room for the season.

I was happy with the result!

They have pretty ribbon at the Dollar Store – I used that as garland along with my beads.

They also had some white poinsettia’s, which I could have used if I didn’t already have some.

They come in bushes and you can just cut them apart

and place the stems in among the tree branches.

I found a nice assortment of blue and silver balls there,

which I used on the tree and around the room.

I loved the color of blue they had – it fit in perfect with my color scheme.

And the blue and silver went so beautifully with all of my glass items.

I used some of the ribbon on baskets under the tree waiting to hold anticipated Christmas gifts.

I found these cute little silver trees, put a star ornament

on the top with some ribbon, and now I have a new tree topper!

All for less than $2!

And I love the way it looks on top of the tree!

The tree now coordinates beautifully with my Christmas Mantle, that features my Coffee Filter Trees –

The tree also goes well with the vignette I have on my table –

Holiday Vignette

All in all, I am very happy with my new color scheme,

and with the Dollar Store additions. The price certainly can’t be beat!

Thank you so much for coming by my little brown house!

I love visitors, and I love comments too!

I hope you enjoyed my tree, and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas –
