A Nice Surprise
Some of you may remember last summer I did a post about a
project I had done using drop cloth fabric.
Well, I guess I did a few of those..
The one I am referring to this time is the pictures I made by putting the drop cloth
fabric through my printer and printing a graphic on them.
I decided to enter this project into a contest that is held monthy
at a site called The CSI Project. I love going there to see all of the fun
projects that get linked up. They have a different themes for every contest,
and use different bloggers as guest judges every time.
I was so excited to find out that my project was the winner for the month!
It was also fun to find out I was even getting a prize – how fun is that?
I began stalking watching the mail for it.
And finally the box came….. and then I got another one..
And another, and another, they just kept coming..
I was blown away! I could not believe how much fun stuff I was getting!
I decided to spread everything I got out on my work table to show you.

It is hard to tell what every thing is from this picture -
Heck – even I am still trying to figure it out!
I got a huge box of styrofoam shapes. I am set for wreaths and trees for awhile!!
I will hopefully be making some holiday things with those.
I also got a box from Gorilla Glue – containing one of every product they make -
Plus a XXL Gorilla Glue t-shirt!
They probably expect me to buff up with all the
crafting I will be doing…
I got a set of 12 craft paints and fancy finishes.
Some Dischargers – which I love by the way!
I also got a huge stack of crafting paper,
some burlap products, and a stencil set.
One box that came was extra heavy. It contained that vise/clamp looking
thing you see in the above photo, and the box to the right that says
Bench Cookie Storage Rack…
When I opened that I will admit to some puzzlement..
I am obviously not the most informed crafter.. and when
it comes to tools I am afraid I am sadly lacking..
My basic tool kit includes some tacks and a high heeled shoe…
Any whoo.. just as I was getting excited about getting a
new cookie rack, I opened another package that contained some
wooden circles that were labeled.. you guessed it.. bench cookies.
I determined quickly they were not edible, and must be a tool..
So – I would say I am now equipped to set up my sons old room
as my new crafting/project work room..

Of course right now it looks like somebody’s dorm room,
but I have plans… oh yes – I have plans..
I guess the point of this post is to encourage you, if you are a crafter, to
enter some of the contests and party’s you see around the web.
It is not only fun to share what you have created,
you also never know what surprises it might bring you.
And now I am off to bake up a batch of bench cookies..
I have a shelf to fill you know..

LOL! Congratulations, Sharyl and good for you for entering that project into the contest. It really turned out wonderfully. Look at all that stuff you got! I think they threw the shirt in because they’ve seen your Not Your G’Ma’s Wardrobe posts and know that you’ll make it cool with a belt, YOUR jeans and some boots! : )
