Top Diy Projects of 2011
It is hard to believe, but we are nearing the end of 2011. I decided to take a look back
at the year and choose some of my top Diy Projects. I picked these according to
how many views and/or comments they received. And also how much
I personally liked them! I find that I like some of my projects more than others..;-)
I will put a picture and title of the projects below, and then a link to the original post.
I hope you enjoy looking through and catching up
on any you may have missed. I am putting them in order by date posted, not most popular.
Let me know what one you like the best!
#1 – Sunburst Mirror
This truly is one of my favorites.
And, it represents one of the best things about blogging and crafting. Sharing ideas!
I saw the tutorial on The Nesters blog, and made my own. I include the link to her tutorial in my post.
Trust me – if I can make it, so can you!
# 2 - Family Name Sign
I have to admit – I love transforming old cabinet doors!
And one of my favorite things to do with them is make family name signs.
This is a Shabby Chic one I made for my brother and his wife.
Another thing I love is Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.. and this is one of the projects I used it on!
You can go check out the tutorial and make one yourself!
#3 – Drum Table Makeover
This was my first Annie Sloan Chalk Paint project.
I found this old table at our local Restore – I love the way it turned out!
You can go see the tutorial here;
#4 Drop Cloth Pictures
These are the pictures I made by putting drop cloth fabric through my printer.
No really – I did!! And it works – you can do it too!
Go here to see how!
#5 – Sonic Cherry Limeaede
This might seem like a strange Diy project, but this is one of my most popular posts!
I still have many hits a day on it – and if you like Sonic Cherry Limeade
you have to try this recipe.. it is that good!
#6 – Headboard To Coat Rack
This was another fun transformation that started with a purchase from the Restore.
This was just an old worn headboard that I got for $5 – which was a little steep!
I had so much fun changing it into a coat rack for my front entry!
Maybe you could use one too? Go check it out!
#7 – Kitchen Island Transformation
I absolutely love this, and can’t wait to do the rest of the kitchen!
Well, obviously I can wait… since this post was done back in August…
I used the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation Kit
and redid my kitchen island all by my little self!!
Go see how easy it was to do!
# 8 – Vintage Window Makeover
This was an old window I got at a Junk Show.
And this was one of the cheapest transformations I have ever done!
Go check it out!
#9 – Mini Coffee Filter Wreath
One of my most popular posts of 2010 was my Coffee Filter Wreath -
This year my Mini Coffee Filter Wreath was quite popular too!
Love those coffee filters!!
#10 – Photo Garland
And last, but certainly not least!
My grandchild photo garland that I did for my Christmas Mantel this year.
I so love it, and will have to find a place for it after the holidays.
I think something like this could certainly be used year round!
Well, that is my top 10!
Hope you have enjoyed this look back on the year with me
As I look back on this past year – I can’t help but be thankful for all of you readers -
Thank you so much sharing the past year with me, looking forward to spending 2012 together too!
