Not Your G-Ma’s Wardrobe
Welcome to another installment of Not Your G-Ma’s Wardrobe!
I will be linking this post up with The Pleated Poppy’s ‘What I Wore Wednesday’ party.
If you remember, in last weeks post I had a plethora of new clothing, purchased while I
was undergoing a pain pill induced shopping therapy session after my surgery..
Wow.. how is that for a sentence?
This week I have a couple of new things, mixed in with some oldie but goodies.
My new Kohls skinny jeans, with an old orange jacket.
The boots are also new, because as you know I needed new ones desperately…NOT!
These were my last Kohls purchase with both a coupon and Kohls bucks.
They cost me $14. Now really.. you have to admit that is a good price.
And I seriously needed black boots… seriously..2 pair is simply not enough.
The scarf is one my Mom made for me – I adore it..
Not only because my Mom made it – it is perfect colors and goes with so many things!
I have to confess I have a hard time with scarves sometimes.
I think I need a longer neck…and cheekbones..
And the turtleneck. Well, I have finally reached the age where I understand why
‘older’ women wear turtlenecks during the summer.. and I no longer find it amusing…
The day I wore this outfit to work one of my co-workers asked me where my sombrero was.
Now I can’t even look at it for some reason without the words ‘Nacho Libre’ coming
into my head.. I may have to hurt the coworker..
The red Poncho is from Ross and was only $8.99.
And I like it.. so I will try to overcome my automatic thoughts of Jack Black
when I wear it. Like I said.. I must hurt the co-worker.. badly..
This is what I am wearing today.
I cannot believe how much I love this skirt. Do you ever find things like that?
I payed more for it than I normally would for a single piece of clothing.
But I have worn it over and over. I got it for the summer season, and here it is winter
and I am still wearing it. Why can’t every article of clothing be like that?
Actually, I should just clean out my closet of everything that doesn’t feel that way.
Then every day I would feel good about what I am wearing.
Well, except for those hormonal days.. and bad hair days..
and days when I am retaining water and my clothes are tight..
Oh well, it seemed like a good idea..
Are you having a good wardrobe week?

Love the skirt! I can see why you enjoy wearing it! I just bought a gray poncho similar to yours and I love it! I think, if you love to wear something, you should just wear it, no matter what other people may think. What do they know anyway!

Love the boots and the red cape!!! So envious you get to wear boots! Well I wear them but, they are not a fashion statement. They are steele toed. Also, wish I lived somewhere to wear them rather than flip flops almost all year. LOL

I love the Poncho…So funny about people commenting on our outfits. I came home in a cute poncho I bought yesterday and my husband said, “Here come’s the, Man with no name.” ie Clint Eastwood in his poncho clad western. Such a funny guy!

Amazing as always! Love the skirt. You have opened my eyes–I didn’t know you could own not one, not two, but THREE pairs of black boots? How am I always the last to know? Seriously, though, you look great and I may try to find myself a fun, flirty skirt now.
