New Stuff..
I have acquired some new items in the past couple of weeks
and I thought you might like to see them.
That sounds much better than;
“I’ve been spending money on myself and want to show it off!”
I mentioned in my wardrobe post this week that I have
a new camera bag. My dear Mother-in-law gave me some money
for Christmas and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.
I have been eyeing these camera bags for awhile -
It took me awhile to decide which style I wanted, but finally
my common sense stepped in and I went with the Rose bag in black -
I was really considering the yellow – but I wanted something that I could
use with absolutely everything. So.. black. I know, kind of safe and boring.

But seriously gorgeous!!
I have already used it a couple of times, and everyone thought it was my purse.
There is room for my camera plus lens’s and filters,
and my wallet and most of the other things I usually carry in my purse.
It has a nice long shoulder strap too, although you can’t see it here.

The inside has an adorable floral print, and plenty of padded pieces that can be
moved around and arranged however you want.
It makes me happy..
It not only keeps my baby safe, it looks good at the same time!
Jo-Totes did not ask me to write this, nor do they even know who I am-
I am simply sharing this with you because I like it.
However, if they wanted to do a little giveaway here I would say yes!
The next new thing we got was a wall oven.
We bought this old house 21 years ago, and are still using the oven
that came with it. That was already old when we got it.
In the interest of transparency and being real, I am going to show
you a picture of it. You may want to take small children and pets
out of the room before you look at it. You have been warned..
(Insert creepy music)
I am sure you will agree that we were way overdue for a new one!
And don’t say it just needs a good cleaning.. I have tried!
Plus, it didn’t always work correctly. I have been putting up with it for years,
and finally had just had enough after the holidays.

So my husband took it out.
And you can see some of the old colors this kitchen had before we got it!
And, once again, we see my dire need of a different finish on my cabinets..
Baby steps..
When the new oven arrived, my husband informed me that it was the wrong size.
I was overjoyed..
But my husband is a ninja with tools, and he made it work..
I love that guy

Isn’t she beautiful!
And it looks like she was made to go there!

And look at this!
A clock! And a timer!
And see those 2 little words in the left hand picture?
Not clear/off, my old oven did that even when I didn’t ask it to..
I mean the Self-Clean.. I have never had that!
Can’t wait!!

I also got some new glasses last week.
I love them in person, but hate them in pictures..
I can’t explain it.
That is why you are only getting a small peek at them -
On the plus side, now that I have them I can see my pictures…
So I guess I’ve got that going for me
Aging.. it is just a laugh a minute..

Some of you may remember that I changed jobs a couple of months ago -
I still work at the same church, but in a different department.
The change involved moving to a different area of the building.
Even though it has been a couple of months, it still feels new!
I thought you might like to see my cubicle -
As you know, I like to decorate stuff..

I put curtains in the opening so I can have privacy when I need
to get some work done. There is a window on one side that I hung a coffee filter wreath on.
It is actually quite cozy and I am sooo comfortable in it!
There you go – some of the new stuff I have going around here.
Right at that time of year when I always think about getting rid of stuff…
How about you? Anything new in your life?

Welcome to the digital world of ovens, Sharyl! : ) I love it and always thought it would be nice to have a wall oven rather than a whole stove unit. In fact, I always thought a double wall oven would be nice. Of course, I’m not a cook or a baker so it really would have been a waste on me, but it would have looked great. I got glasses that shape a couple of years ago and I found I didn’t care for them as much once the newness wore off. Last year when I was good to get new frames I went back to the more oval shape and realized it probably suits my face better. But I do love that shape, just not on me!
Nice work area! I love the curtain and the rug!

Your old oven was MY oven’s long-lost twin. Would LOVE to get rid of that puppy and get a self-cleaner! Like you say, baby steps….

I love your new camera bag. I’ve seen them on other blogs and thought they were so cute. I even considered buying one to use as a purse, but decided I’d throw my back out if I bought a bigger purse than the one I already have! I love your wall oven. I’d love to have one instead of the stove/oven combo I have but it would mean a complete remodel, and I don’t think the hubs tear would be up for that, so I’ll just have to admire yours. I think your glasses look so cute on you! I have about 6 pair of glasses because depending on the light and how far I’d like to see and at what angle I am looking, all call for different lenses. I have complicated vision all due to astigmatism. I looked into corrective surgery, but at $2500 an eye, decided it would be cheaper to keep buying glasses, especially since I found zenni online.

OK…major jealous issues going on here on my end from the CUTE-CUTE-CUTE camera bag, a wall oven (I WILL have one when the kitchen gets a much needed reno one of these days), those awesome new glasses, and the Taj Mahal of work cubes! You rock!

First of all, the oven is very nice! I was just thrilled when my husband scrubbed the glass on mine the other day. He was replacing a bulb in the oven and noticed the filthy glass that I couldn’t get clean. I have an oven cleaner, but the glass doesn’t get clean with that wonderful feature. We used the pinterest idea of dawn dish soap, vinegar and baking soda. He then used something to literally scrape it clean…YAY, it looks good now
Not as beautiful as your new lovely though. The glasses are too cute! It’s my plan to replace mine in May. I wear contacts during the day and after work, the glasses come on. My glasses aren’t really strong enough, but they work for now. I almost forgot, but the camera bag looks like a purse…way cool! The only thing that I got new lately was a fat sucking camisole ~ no kidding! I was always very thin until I crept into my forties and I am approaching my 50th B-Day this yr and other things are coming along with the yrs, such as BACK FAT…Such an UGLY word! I love the new camisole, but it’s hard to get on and off! I have so much more respect for older women than I used too…UGH! It’s harder and harder to look good ;D Keep in touch, Melesa
