Insta Friday

Here is a little bit of my week in iPhone pictures –

This may become one of my all time favorite pictures –

And, to be completely accurate, it was not taken by me.

My daughter took it on her phone.

My grandson is in Time-Out, and his baby sister is keeping him company.

One look at it and I melt..

And here is another one that melts my heart.. and made me cry.

A picture from my other daughters phone.

This is one of my Tennessee grandkids at the ER after drinking

some cleaning product. He was fine, but it was very scary for his family!

And for Grandma almost 2000 miles away ;-(

On a much lighter note..

I saw this car in the parking lot at work this week.

It made me giggle!

I am pretty sure I need a pair of false eyelashes on my Durango!

I have told you about the obsession they have with whiteboards at the church where I work .

I decided I should post a pic of one every week and see if you can figure out what it means.

(Because I sure can’t!)

Something about a Bible on wheels….

I got to carve out a little “me” time this week..

Starbucks and Target..

It just doesn’t get much better..

And this, this right here is one of the best things on earth…

Texas Roadhouse sweet potato.

My hubby took me there for Valentines day.

I don’t listen to much country music – so when I go there it

is always a treat to hear the songs they play.

Some of the lyrics just crack me up!

The one I can’t get out of my head is;

“I played chicken with a train train chicken with a train train,  Ye-ah yeah..”

I also have fun watching all of the waiters and waitress’s line up and dance to it.

As long as I already have my food, of course..

I got this bag of treats from one of the gals at work.

They are so yummy!

Then my mother-in-law had us over for dinner later

and she had made some too!

Pretty sure I gained 5 pounds this week.

They are pretzels with a Hershey’s hug melted on top

and an M & M to cap the whole thing off.

Sweet and Salty..

Of course those were just the pre-dinner appetizer-

My Mother-in-law made this yummy Nutella cheesecake

for dessert! Super rich, but oh so good!

Did I say 5 pounds? May be more like 10…

Speaking of that dessert – I have a question for you.

How do you pronounce the word Nutella?

I have been calling it New-Tella

but my daughter and MIL said they think it is

Nut-tella, which does make sense as it is made of nuts!

I know my readers will have the right answer – you never let me down!

On Saturday I put up a wall of curtains in my master bedroom.

I did a post about it with some “after” photo’s of the wall and bed.

Curtain Wall

I grabbed my phone and snapped a shot of the other side of the room

so you all could see that while the “after” pictures in my home photos may

look nice, there is often chaos lurking behind the camera!

And of course, Lord of the Rings on the TV!

Tonight I came out to get in my car after work and discovered snow..

I am in a cubicle in an area where there are no windows, so after

7 or 8 hours inside I never know what to expect when I come out!

This was not a pleasant surprise!

I am so ready for spring – and we still have a ways to go..

At least that gives me time to drop 5 pounds or so before

I can no longer cover it up with layers..

There is a snapshot of my week – I hope yours was a good one!

Whiteboard guess… If you feel down/depressed, (1) keep your focus (eyes & ears) on Jesus, (2) keep His word hidden in your heart, and (3) keep moving forward. :-) I enjoyed your week in pics. Have a great weekend! :-)

Re – Nutella. Their website says it is pronounced “new-tell-uh”!

You were right, it is New-Tell-ah! And, now you have made me think of the amazing Nutella banana crepes that my hubby and I have indulged in on the streets of Paris when we visit. Yummmmm. There’s nothing like it! :-)
Love all of your pics. Your grandkids are so sweet, and what a relief that the little one is ok!
Good luck with that whole wipe board thing. I think you should them that you need a translation booklet. 😉
    Have a great weekend!

Before it was available here in the US, my brother and his wife discovered Nutella in Belgium while they were there with a missionary construction team. They brought some back and we all fell in love with it, as we grew up in Oregon in hazelnut country, and even picked hazelnuts when we were kids. They called it nut-ella when they brought it back, but I don’t know that they actually heard anyone there say it out loud! Which I guess doesn’t help any with the discussion, but that’s my Nutella story…and I’m stickin’ to it.

Love your Insta Friday pics. Mostly I am happy your grandson is okay after drinking cleaning fluid. That really did have to be very scary for all!!

Cute grandchildren. I knew the medicine syringe in his hand was not a good sign. I say new-tell-uh.
