Gone Junkin Again…

Some of you may remember last month I went to the grand opening of

a new store in our town called *Junk*.

I came home from there with this gorgeous mirror for my entry way.

Entryway Makeover

Don’t you just love it!?

Well, I went back to the adorable little Junk store again a couple

of weeks ago. And again, they didn’t disappoint!

Their theme in February was weddings,

and the shop was a dream all decked out in white!

I have been so drawn to white lately – (as evidenced by my kitchen cabinet project!)

These two Adirondack chairs were facing the door when I walked in,

with their sweet little ‘Just Married’ sign.

The low table in the upper right picture almost had me..

I need something like that at the end of our bed.

And I loved the white buffet – makes me once again consider painting mine;-)

And I did almost walk out with those funky blue cabinet

doors on the wall behind the frilly lampshade – very tempting..

Now these lights, these almost took my breath away!

ADORE!

I don’t know where I would use them yet, but I am hoping to recreate some

on my own someday. They were just the round paper lantern lights like the

kind you can get at IKEA and Pier 1, covered with cupcake wrappers!

Definitely going on my ‘To do” list!

I love the white armoire, and I have been looking for

an old typewriter too – couldn’t talk myself into getting one this time though.

I really liked the wood frame with beachy mirror on the back of that sideboard too.

I like the idea of putting shells around the frame – and also loved that seafoam color!

This sweet little corner cabinet also really tempted me!!

It would have fit so perfectly into our breakfast nook area.

I was really good this trip though, and stayed with my budget.

On the right side of this picture is the only thing I actually bought

this trip! I purchased one of the leaded glass windows.

Believe it or not, I haven’t landed yet on where to put it in my house.

But I will show you as soon as I find a spot!

And now, I will show you the real reason I stuck so closely to my budget..

Yeah… I kind of bought this table on the way to the *Junk* store..

I found it on our little towns Shop and Stop facebook page.

Yes, it is true I have 386 tables in my house – give or take 380..

But as you know – I am forbidden to paint all of the ones that were

given to me by my mom. This one though, this one is fair game…

I want to put this in my office/craft room area.. when I find one that is…

Oh, didn’t I tell you? Remember my empty nest syndrome?

It isn’t going to be empty anymore.. NO! Not that!! No baby coming!

My youngest who went off to Nashville in October is coming back home

in two weeks. He was offered a great job here and decided to return!

So.. he wants his room back..

I guess its a good trade..;-)

Love the table and the leaded glass window – drool worthy! Buy things you love and you’ll find a place for it! So happy for you that your son is returning to the “nest.” All the best – Becki

Good thing I don’t live near that store! It would be empty. I love the chairs.

Hi Sharyl! Your new leaded window is gorgeousness!!! Love The table for your office/craft room….it is in your future, for sure. I am hoping to find that perfect old door for my library/craft/office/me space. My husband, like yours, does not appreciate chippy, weathered furniture. Enjoyed all your past posts….and those black bean brownies are sure looking yummy for this weekend. Ciao from San Diego, Deb

Cool trip to the junk store! I am loving your new table too! Congrats on your son’s return. I’m sure it’s going to be so nice to have him back. I can;t even fathom having to watch my little guy leave the nest. :’-(
Luckily, I have about 13 years. And I’m already old, so maybe I’ll be too senile to realize it when he’s finally off to college! :-) Ha!
    Have a great weekend! xo-Lisa
