Not Your G-Ma’s Wardrobe
I seem to have misplaced February, has anyone seen it?
There is no way it can possibly be March yet, Christmas was just a couple of weeks ago..
I have been up to my ears in refinishing cabinets for the past two weeks.
Between the cabinet makeover and my husband being laid off work, I missed
doing my wardrobe post last week. I apologize profusely.. and hang my head in shame..
This week I actually managed to squeeze in some photo’s in between scrubbing
the paint off of my fingers and working extra hours at my day job.
I will now submit them for your approval.. or not..
I know I have a problem.. I have chosen to just live with it.
At least I am not in denial, right?
First up are, to the surprise of no one, my favorite jeans.
The best jeans ever in the history of jeandom, I could wear them every day.
And sometimes do.
ZCO Skinny Boot Cut – $24 – Tilly’s.com
The shirt and jacket are both from Ross and a few years old.
But you know what?
Black and White never gets old……
(did you see what I just did there?)
dress with a denim jacket. Cause I am a fashion risk taker..
I love this little dress, but you will probably never see me in it without
a jacket or a sweater thrown over it.
It it sleeveless, and the sleeve holes are really tight.
And my upper arms are a problem..
If you can just picture arms that are toned and then think
of the exact opposite, you may have a picture of my arms.
They are the kind that wave in the wind if I hold them up
and clap enthusiastically. Which is why I never clap enthusiastically..
Also, they bulge..
I never realized that would happen with arms, but it does.
They kind of have a muffin top when I go sleeveless.
Except it is more like a muffin bottom..
But enough about my lovely upper arms..
Can you tell I am longing for spring?
That is why I am gazing longingly out the window – willing spring to come.
I will let you know how that works….
These are one of my favorite pair of pants.
They are capri’s, which I wisely choose to wear with boots on this 35 degree morning.
This jacket was given to me by my daughter in Tennessee.
She found it at a yard sale.
I feel certain it was once owned by a country music star,
as they all live around Nashville.
On a different note.. (did you catch that?)
I bought some little hair clippys last week and have been having fun with them.
I have been trying out different hair styles using them.
They are really small, which works well for my somewhat thin hair.
And they don’t give me a headache, like most clips do.
I will probably using them more often over the next few weeks.
My husband has been laid off for 3 weeks now, and things are getting tight!
I had to cancel my hair appointment, so my roots are over due!
I am coming up with creative ways to disguise them! I may have to go back to
highlighting my own hair like I used to do until about 5 years ago.
That should be fun…
Hope you are having a good wardrobe week!
I would wave goodbye but… well, you know.
