Sunday Sunday..

This has been a quiet Sunday for me..

I am not complaining ūüėČ

I started out this morning listening to a guest speaker at our church.

(Please excuse the horrendous phone picture..)

Frank Peretti, a christian author, spoke at our services this past weekend.

His were some of the first christian fiction books I ever read –

I have read every book he has ever written, but these were the first two I read some 20 years ago.

They changed the way I looked at spiritual warfare, and I was greatly impacted by them.

Now Frank Peretti, the author of them, is on the worship team at one

of our church plants! How crazy is that?! The latest book he has out, Illusion, uses my area

and even our church as part of the story. So it was so fun to get to hear from him this morning.

He is an excellant speaker, and extremely funny too!

The rest of the day has gone nice and slow – the sun is out and my phone says it is 79 degrees..

I decided that I would work on a project I have been putting off for oh, about 2 years..

Re-organizing my jewelry.

First of all, let me state for the record that my jewelry is by no means worth a ton of money.

It is mainly just costume jewelry.

I say this in anticipation of your response when you see how much I have..

Yep….

And that plastic pocket holder behind it is pretty full too..

I admit – I get distracted by shiny things..

You also need to know that I never get rid of anything..

Case in point. The above photo  is of all my watches that need a battery.

Interestingly enough – I don’t wear a watch anymore. I just use my cell phone..

I am willing to admit to small hoarding tendency’s in some areas…..

Now I am searching Pinterest for a fun new way to store all of my ‘jewels’

I bet I have something hoardedРI mean stored that would work perfectly..

Like a mini van..

I took a break from this to make dinner, and I thought I would share it with you.

Ok, not like “hey everyone come over and eat with us!”

although that would be fun.. I meant share it in pictures.

It is one of my favorite Pioneer Woman recipes of all time – Chicken Sesame Noodles.

I did a post with the recipe a couple of years ago – here is the link if you are interested:

Sesame Noodles

I hope you are all having a great Sunday -thanks so much for stopping by!!

How cool that Frank Peretti was at your church. I said the same thing to someone recently about those same two books, that they changed the way I looked at spiritual warfare. I haven’t read Illusion, will have to look for it.
Good luck with the jewelry organization- yikes! :)

LOL! I have the same pile of watches that need batteries, Sharyl! Some of them are so pretty, I really should just get the batteries replaced.

    Good Lord Woman!
If you didn’t have two beautiful daughters I would offer to help you “clean house” with some of those. Especially my fave owl necklace!!! :)

I’m sure pinterest will give you some great ideas for storage and for recycling them.
Can’t wait to see what you do!
