Not Your G-Ma’s Wardrobe!
You know how you have those friends that you haven’t seen in awhile, but when
you get together you pick right up again where you left off?
Yeah – that is what this is, ok?
I can’t even tell you how much I have missed you… CAN’T EVEN!
For those of you who are new:
Hello! My name is Sharyl, and I am a Grandma of 7 who does
not want to have my style defined by my age.
The outfit I am sharing today has a few of my favorite components.
I purchased this dress/tunic last year at Ross ($16.99) .
It is knit, and I love the colors. I absolutely love combining brown
and black (something I used to view as a big no-no)
and with the added white and grey, it makes for a super versatile piece.
The jean jacket – another staple piece in my wardrobe – is from Kohls.
The boots are from Target – I got them with a Christmas gift card (always fun!)
And they have quickly become my favorites. They work really well with jeans either
tucked in or rolled up – so cute!
Now – the tunic is a bit short to wear without leggings or jeans, so I came
up with a little fix of my own. This is especially good for those of us who
are a bit older and don’t want to wear super short skirts 😉
I purchased an elastic waste lightweight tiered skirt that I wear underneath
a couple of my shorter dresses and tops. I absolutely LOVE it! It helps
me feel more comfortable in my outfit, and I love the little bit of sass it adds..
The best part is, I bought this on Amazon for only $11.99!
And free shipping with Prime! I love me some Amazon Prime..
The last thing I want to mention is my necklace – I adore it..
It has my Word Of The Year on it –
Yes, I realize that is two words.. work with me.
I got it from an adorable Etsy Store called
Sooo – there you have it! My wardrobe post for the week.. and my first post in how long??
(Shhh – never ask a lady about her weight or her age )
Thanks so much for visiting me!
And if you have any tips or ideas to share, please leave a comment!
You know I love to hear from Ya’ll ;0)(And just an FYI – I get nothing from the links I placed above, just trying to share the info!)
