Not Your G-Ma’s Wardrobe

Thank you so much for all the sweet responses to my last post – you all certainly make

a girl want to start blogging again πŸ˜‰ So here I am with another wardrobe post –

This week I am sharing a simple jeans and vest outfit

I put together and love to wear. I have been experimenting with trying different jean styles

with boots, and this is one look I particularly love.

These are boot cut jeans rolled up and worn with the same boots I showed

on my last post (coincidently my current favorites!) The jeans are Mudd brand.

I got them from Kohls just recently for about $15 – you know I love those

30% off coupons in combination with a sale price! Here is a link to them –

The boots are from Target – I believe they were around $60.

A few of you commented on my hairstyle change with my last post.

Β After spending the last few years straightening it, I discovered that my hair was getting damaged

by the flat iron. So last fall I began allowing the natural wave to come out by using a diffuser to dry it.

I then add a curl here and there with a curling iron

because I am apparently too obsessive to leave well enough alone πŸ˜‰ In these pictures

I also have the bangs pulled back with clips. I am really enjoying the freedom of

having it curly! And it certainly works better on windy days!

A few of you also mentioned it looked like I have lost weight.. ok, maybe it was only one of you πŸ˜‰

I have been dealing with some medical problems the last few months – one of which culminated

a few weeks ago with surgery to remove my gallbladder. I confess that the gallbladder wasn’t in

the top ten on my organ awareness list.. it was somewhere slightly before the appendix and

after the pancreas … I will just say I am thankful we can live without one –

although I was certain for a while it was out to kill me..

I will say it was quite an adventure wrought with fun-filled trips to the Emergency Room.

And while it did result in some weight loss, I can’t recommend it as an easy or affordable program….

Thanks for coming by -) hoping you have a fun wardrobe week!

And remember – even if you are a grandma that doesn’t mean you have to dress like one πŸ˜‰

    Hi,
I remember when my mom had gall bladder problems. Just one emergency room visit was enough for her, and she had it out! I’ve just been experimenting with my natural wave too, as my hair is drier these days and I wanted to avoid heat on it. So I gave up heat styling for Lent, and I like it! Yours is really cute.
