Not Your G-Ma’s Wardrobe
Thank you so much for all the sweet responses to my last post – you all certainly make
a girl want to start blogging again 😉 So here I am with another wardrobe post –
This week I am sharing a simple jeans and vest outfit
I put together and love to wear. I have been experimenting with trying different jean styles
with boots, and this is one look I particularly love.
These are boot cut jeans rolled up and worn with the same boots I showed
on my last post (coincidently my current favorites!) The jeans are Mudd brand.
I got them from Kohls just recently for about $15 – you know I love those
30% off coupons in combination with a sale price! Here is a link to them –
The boots are from Target – I believe they were around $60.
A few of you commented on my hairstyle change with my last post.
After spending the last few years straightening it, I discovered that my hair was getting damaged
by the flat iron. So last fall I began allowing the natural wave to come out by using a diffuser to dry it.
I then add a curl here and there with a curling iron
because I am apparently too obsessive to leave well enough alone 😉 In these pictures
I also have the bangs pulled back with clips. I am really enjoying the freedom of
having it curly! And it certainly works better on windy days!
A few of you also mentioned it looked like I have lost weight.. ok, maybe it was only one of you 😉
I have been dealing with some medical problems the last few months – one of which culminated
a few weeks ago with surgery to remove my gallbladder. I confess that the gallbladder wasn’t in
the top ten on my organ awareness list.. it was somewhere slightly before the appendix and
after the pancreas … I will just say I am thankful we can live without one –
although I was certain for a while it was out to kill me..
I will say it was quite an adventure wrought with fun-filled trips to the Emergency Room.
And while it did result in some weight loss, I can’t recommend it as an easy or affordable program….
Thanks for coming by -) hoping you have a fun wardrobe week!
And remember – even if you are a grandma that doesn’t mean you have to dress like one 😉
